The song Blurred Lines generated a huge amount of controversy when it was released in 2013. British entertainment and media news website, Digital Spy, called it "smooth and soulful" but in the wrong hands "crass and chauvinistic." Pharrell Williams, producer and co-writer of the song, said in an interview with Oprah on Super Soul Sunday, that the song taught him a lot and it wasn't what you might expect.
